YTEPP and TIATT Sign Memorandum of Cooperation to Strengthen Tourism Workforce Development
Senator Professor Emeritus The Honourable Prakash Persad, Minister of Tertiary Education and Skills Training, recently delivered the feature address at the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between YTEPP Limited and the Tourism Industry Association of Trinidad and Tobago (TIATT).
The partnership supports the Ministry of Tertiary Education and Skills Training’s strategic focus on strengthening industry-responsive education and training. Through the collaboration, YTEPP and TIATT will work to advance curriculum development, workforce development initiatives and apprenticeship opportunities aligned with the evolving needs of Trinidad and Tobago’s tourism sector.
By strengthening the connection between skills training and employment, the partnership is expected to create clearer pathways for young people to transition into the workforce while supporting the development of a skilled, competitive and sustainable tourism industry.
The initiative also reflects the Ministry’s commitment to equipping citizens with the skills required by industry and positioning them to take advantage of emerging employment and career opportunities.
The Ministry commends YTEPP Limited and the Tourism Industry Association of Trinidad and Tobago for their continued partnership and commitment to strengthening skills development and expanding opportunities for the people of Trinidad and Tobago.
