On Wednesday, June 24, 2026, COSTAATT and the Trinidad and Tobago Prison Service renewed their longstanding partnership, reaffirming a shared commitment to education, professional development and capacity building within the correctional system.

The signing ceremony brought together Senator Professor Emeritus the Honourable Prakash Persad, Minister of Tertiary Education and Skills Training; Mr. Carlos Corraspe, Commissioner of Prisons; and Mrs. Roamar Achat-Saney, Chair of the COSTAATT Board of Trustees, and Dr Naseem Koylass, President of COSTAATT (Ag), who each highlighted the important role of education in strengthening institutions and supporting rehabilitation.

By continuing to invest in people, this partnership is helping to build a stronger correctional system and safer communities.
