The National Training Agency (NTA) under the Ministry of Tertiary Education and Skills Training (MTEST), in collaboration with the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs is proudly hosting the Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) Graduation Ceremony – Tobago.

On Tuesday 28th July, 2026, thirty-four ( 34) Tobagonians are being recognised for achieving nationally recognised certification through the PLAR process in occupational areas including Welding, Data Operations, Electrical Installation, Motor Vehicle Engine Systems, and Massage Therapy.

Senator Professor Emeritus the Honourable Prakash Persad, Minister of Tertiary Education and Skills Training, is the feature speaker highlighting the importance of recognising skills acquired through work, training and life experience as a key driver of workforce development and national progress.

This milestone reinforces the Government’s commitment to lifelong learning, youth empowerment and building a future-ready Trinidad and Tobago.
