Senator Professor Emeritus the Honourable Prakash Persad, Minister of Tertiary Education and Skills Training, today presented Instruments of Appointment to the newly appointed Board of The Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago (ACTT) during a meeting focused on advancing quality, accountability and excellence within the tertiary education and skills training sectors.

The Honourable Minister was joined by Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Hansen Narinesingh, MP, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Ag.) Ms. Bhagwati Manick, as they engaged the Board on its critical role in strengthening quality assurance, accreditation and institutional excellence across Trinidad and Tobago’s post-secondary education and training system. Also present at the meeting was Mr. Curtis Floyd, Ex officio and Executive Director ACTT.

The Minister congratulated the newly appointed Board and underscored the importance of good governance, collaboration and strategic leadership in ensuring that qualifications remain credible, internationally recognised and responsive to the evolving needs of students, institutions and the labour market.
