Recently, Senator Professor Emeritus the Honourable Prakash Persad, Minister of Tertiary Education and Skills Training, met with representatives of The University of the West Indies (The UWI) and the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) for a strategic collaborative meeting focused on the commercialisation of research and innovation, and expanding outreach initiatives.
The discussions explored opportunities to strengthen partnerships between the Ministry and the nation’s tertiary institutions, ensuring that research, innovation and academic expertise translate into real-world impact for citizens, communities and industry.
